New in the Australia release
- Smart sizing in the Execution workspace
- Smart sizing is now supported in the Execution Workspace with the Fit to window and
Original resolution options:
- Fit to window: Automatically scales the desktop session to fit within the Execution Workspace while keeping it fully visible and readable.
- Original resolution: Displays the desktop session at its original resolution. Scroll bars appear if the desktop session is larger than the Execution workspace so you can still access each area of the screen.
- Recorder enhancements
-
- The recorder toolbar is now floating, making it easier to access application controls during recording.
- The recorder adds only one screen per unique window during recording by auto-merging and optimizing duplicate screens.
- Capture a maximum of 50 steps using the recorder in a recording session. While auto-capturing steps, a counter now displays the remaining number of steps you can record using the recorder. For example, 35 of 50 max.
- Screen-level testing
-
- Isolate and troubleshoot issues quickly by testing a specific screen within desktop actions without running the entire flow.
- While working on a desktop action, the test values you enter are retained across test runs until you close the desktop action or reset the test values.
- View list of existing desktop actions
-
- View list of all existing desktop actions in the Desktop Action module in the ServiceNow instance. View related lists that include Desktop Action application, AI Agents, and Desktop action executions for UI block, and AI Agents and Desktop action executions for non-UI block.
- Improved Agentic Desktop installer experience
- The installer now guides you through the following two configurations that are essential for seamless execution of desktop actions:
- Option to automatically add the current user to the Windows Remote User group.
- Configuration that validates whether the required .NET Desktop Runtime is installed. If not installed, a link is provided to download and install it.
UI changes
- The system now suggests a full URL instead of a partial URL. For example, https://<instance name>.servicenow.com.
- Pagination is implemented for desktop actions on the Agentic Desktop home page, which helps improve navigation and load times.
Changed in this release
- Optional Application name field
- The Application field in the Details tab is now optional, enabling you to save and run desktop actions without entering an application name.
- Improved connectors descriptions for non-UI block desktop actions
- Descriptions for Excel, Word, PDF, and System Actions connectors are enhanced to improve accuracy and selection.
