Enterprise Asset Management for Data Center and Network Asset Management (DCNAM)

Enterprise Asset Management for Data Center and Network Asset Management (DCNAM) is a licensable application that enables you to manage the life cycles of your mission-critical facility-based enterprise assets and linear assets for telecommunications networks.

The Enterprise Asset Management for DCNAM (com.sn_eam_dcnam) application is a specialized offering within the suite of Enterprise Asset Management solutions. The application provides the functionalities, features, and workflows of Enterprise Asset Management but for mission-critical facility-based enterprise assets and linear assets only.

When you install the application on a ServiceNow instance, the Enterprise Asset Management application is also installed automatically. For more information on installing the application, see Install Enterprise Asset Management for Data Center and Network Asset Management (DCNAM).

  You can install the Enterprise Asset Management for DCNAM application (com.sn_eam_dcnam) if you have the admin role. The application installs related ServiceNow® Store applications and plugins if they are not already installed.

  Several types of components are installed with activation of the com.sn_eam_dcnam plugin, including user roles, plugins, and applications.

  The Enterprise Asset Management for Data Center and Network Asset Management (DCNAM) application supports a unit-based subscription licensing model in which you must pay a recurring fee for assets to use the application. You can determine the licensing requirements and costs for these assets based on their resource categories and corresponding subscription unit ratios.
