- Automated Tweeting: Post tweets containing messages or media automatically triggered by ServiceNow workflows.
- Media Handling: Retrieve media attachments using the "Look Up Attachment Records" action prior to tweeting media content.
- AI Agent Support: Includes an AI agent for managing tweets that posts text tweets to a configured X handle, enhancing automation with human-like intelligence.
- Connection and Credential Management: Uses Integration Hub aliases to manage connection and credential information efficiently across multiple environments without needing to update each action individually.
Requirements and Setup
- An Integration Hub subscription is required to use the X Spoke.
- You must have an X developer account and developer app to access the X APIs, including the required access tokens, secrets, and consumer keys.
- Two connection and credential alias records must be configured: one for tweeting messages and another for tweeting media, each linked to the respective X API.
- Ensure that users running AI agents have the necessary roles and permissions to access or modify data associated with the AI agents.
Practical Benefits for ServiceNow Customers
By implementing the X Spoke, ServiceNow customers can automate social media communications directly from their instance, improving responsiveness and engagement without manual intervention. The spoke’s integration with AI agents facilitates smarter tweet management, while the use of aliases simplifies credential and connection management, reducing administrative overhead and improving security compliance.

The X Spoke provides AI agents that mimic human-like intelligence to perform tasks in your ServiceNow instance. For more information about AI agents, see Now Assist AI agents.
Available AI agents include:
| AI Agent | Description |
|---|---|
| X Tweet management AI agent | This AI Agent posts tweets to the X handle that you had configured that contain text. Note: You must configure a valid X handle before using this AI Agent. |

Connection and credential alias requirements
Integration Hub uses aliases to manage connection and credential information. Using an alias eliminates the need to configure multiple credentials and connection information profiles when using multiple environments. If the connection or credential information changes, you don't need to update any actions that use the connection. For more information, see .
