Create a remediation task on-demand in the Vulnerability Manager Workspace

Create a remediation task on-demand from a remediation effort. If you create a remediation task on-demand, you choose the records you want to add manually.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_vul.vulnerability_analyst or sn_vul.vulnerability_admin

About this task

For version 18.0 of Vulnerability Response, you cannot create a Remediation Task from the record view of a Remediation Effort.

Procedure

1. Navigate to All > Vulnerability Response > Vulnerability Manager Workspace.
2. At the top left of the workspace with the Home page displayed, click the List view icon, to display the List landing page.
3. Under Remediation Efforts, click either Active or All.
4. From the list that is displayed, click a record to open it.
   The overview tab of the record is displayed.
5. Click the Vulnerable Items tab.
   The list of records displays.
6. To create a new remediation task, in the Number column, select the records you want to add.
7. Click Create remediation task.
8. In the modal that is displayed, fill in the fields.

   Field	Description
   Short description	Enter text that can help you identify this remediation tasks easily from your existing remediation tasks.
   Assignment group	Choose an assignment group for the tasks. Use the filter to help you locate the group you want.

9. Click Create.
10. The new remediation task is displayed with the active records you selected.
