Add AI systems to business applications

    • You can add AI system product models to business applications in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace. Associating AI system product models to business applications enables enterprise architects to monitor AI usage along with your business applications, enabling better lifecycle visibility and tracking, and improving compliance and decision making.

    About this task

    An AI system product model is an AI-powered system that delivers business outcomes. It is linked to AI models, datasets, and prompts. For information on AI product models, see Exploring the AI Portfolio and Working with an application portfolio.

    Adding AI system product models to business applications provides governed and auditable traceability from a business application to a AI capability. This improves impact analysis, risk controls, and portfolio decisions.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Enterprise Architecture Workspace.
    2. Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon (Portfolio icon).
    3. Select the expand row icon (Expand Row icon) next to Application Portfolio.
    4. Select Business Applications.
    5. Select the business application that you want to add a AI system to.
    6. Select AI Product Models.
      Note:
      If the AI Product Models tab is not visible, select More and then select AI Product Models.

    7. In the AI Product Models tab, select Add.
    8. In the Add AI system pop-up window, select the existing AI system.
    9. Select Add.

    Result

    The AI system is added to the business application.
