Accessibility tools for a multilingual organization

Maureen Roberts

My organization plans to start implementing accessibility tools in our platform, beginning with Text Adjust. However, we are a multilingual organization, and many users utilize translation browser extensions. How can this tool be effectively used with non-ASCII characters? Is it possible?

Hello Maureen, this is a great question. Yes—it can be effectively used with non-ASCII characters. The tool adjusts spacing at the font level, so characters in scripts like Right-to-Left (RTL) languages, or accented Latin-based letters are handled consistently. We’re furthering testing with RTL languages to ensure the correct spacing to characters or groupings. To make sure it’s effective for your audience, the best approach is to test in the key languages your users rely on, especially alongside translation extensions, since those can sometimes add their own quirks.
