We are planning a one-time migration of Agile Stories from ServiceNow to Jira and need to migrate all related information, including attachments.
The scope includes:
- Stories/User Stories
- Description and Acceptance Criteria
- Priority, State, Story Points
- Assignee and Reporter information
- Comments/Work Notes (if possible)
- Attachments
- Parent-child relationships (Epic, Story, Tasks)
- Historical data such as Created/Updated dates
I would like to understand the recommended approach for a migration project:
- What are the available options to migrate Stories from ServiceNow to Jira?
- How can attachments be exported from ServiceNow and imported into the corresponding Jira issues?
- Has anyone used ServiceNow export APIs, Jira CSV import, Jira REST APIs, or third-party migration tools for this purpose?
- What challenges did you face during the migration, especially with attachments and relationships?
- Are there any best practices or lessons learned for a large-scale migration?
