Domain Migration Tool

Good day . 

Has anyone worked on migrating a customer from a domain separated instance to a dedicated instance.? We found that the domain migration tool is designed to work in similar situations but have some questions on how it works especially on bringing in the other customer domains while cloning which is a prerequisite for the process. 

Also, is there any costing associated with the plugin .?

I believe it's a paid plugin and has to be activated by ServiceNow personnel.
