Virtual Agent Lite vs Virtual Agent – Can CCCIF be used for external bot (bot-to-bot) integration

I am trying to understand whether Conversational Custom Chat Integration (CCCIF) can be implemented with our current setup.

Current setup:

  • Glide Virtual Agent plugin is installed

  • Dependencies include Glide Virtual Agent Lite (com.glide.cs.chatbot.lite)

  • Virtual Agent works within ServiceNow (topics, actions, NLU, Service Portal / Employee Center)

  • No separate “Virtual Agent API” plugin is visible.

Requirement:

Question:

  • Is CCCIF supported when the instance has Virtual Agent Lite as part of the dependency chain?

  • Or does CCCIF require Virtual Agent API plugin, even though the documentation mentions only the Glide Virtual Agent plugin?
