This is part three of building a new Workspace. In part one, we build a new scoped app. In part two, we built the workspace. After we entered our tables, what did App Engine Studio build for us!?

Let’s start with the Workspace front-end first.  AES built us a basic dashboard with 3 data visualizations. Don’t like them? Want to add more? Click the Edit button in the upper right corner

Click Add new element, Data visualization (for example). Configure the data table, the filter conditions, etc to get the data you want to show. Then just drag the element up from the bottom to below My Tasks. Change your mind? Just click the 3 dots and select Delete.

Let’s look at the List page. All those tables we entered during setup? AES created a list of all those tables. I’m personally not a fan of what it creates but it’s super easy to modify those elements in UIB or outside of UIB on the table [sys_ux_list_menu_config].

And the last icon is the Analytics Center. The Analytics Center provides an overview of your most important dashboards and data visualizations along with a place for you to ask questions about analytics.

In AES, under Experience, a form for each table was created along with a new view ‘workspace’. If you need to make form changes, you’d make them here. At the bottom of the list is the Workspace.

In part four we will look inside of UI Builder.
