Hello I have a requirement to show the sum of the total contract value from the ast_contract table using PA and display it in dashboard,

Can it be achieved please suggest the steps

In that case you can use the same.

In your workspace,

> Click on Edit and and then select Library and choose the report which we created in previous steps that it!!.

OR 

You can even directly create a new visualization also as in this link. And then build the same single score type of report as i showed earlier.
