How to configure Global Search for custom table records.

Hello,

I have created a custom table which extends the task table. Now i want the custom table number to be available in Global Search. I tried configuring the search sources but its not working.  Can someone help me with the process to configure or any documentation? Currently in Zurich release using SOW Workspace.
