Hi ServiceNow Community,
I have a requirement to display the recent changes made to an Asset record in ServiceNow Workspace.
Currently, I have two different views:
Record History tab: In the first screenshot, the Asset record page displays a Record History tab with the changes made to the asset, including the field label, old value, new value, and type.
Update Asset page: In the second screenshot, I have a custom Asset update page with a Recent Changes panel on the right side. It displays the field name and old value by referring to audit history.
Requirement:
I want to display the Recent Changes panel on my custom Asset record page in UI Builder, similar to the Record History functionality available on the standard Asset record page.
I would like to understand:
Is there an out-of-the-box component in UI Builder or Workspace to display the audit history of a record?
Can we reuse the existing Record History functionality or component on a custom page?
If no OOTB component is available, what is the recommended approach to retrieve and display the old value, new value, field name, and updated timestamp from the sys_audit table?
Can this be implemented without modifying the standard alm_hardware table or its existing functionality?
Are there any recommended best practices for displaying recent audit changes in a custom Workspace page?
I would appreciate any suggestions, configuration steps, or example implementations.
Thank you!
