How to hide table fields from filter (Condition Builder) in ServiceNow?

Hi all,

I would like to hide certain fields (including system fields like Created, Updated, Sys ID, etc.) from appearing as options in the filter (Condition Builder) for a specific table. I’ve checked the Dictionary settings, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to remove fields from the filter—only to set the Display value. UI Policies only affect forms, and making a field inactive removes it entirely, which is not what I want.

Is there any supported way to prevent specific fields from showing up in the filter, or is this a platform limitation? Any workarounds or best practices would be appreciated.

Thanks!

@carlosgonza

you can't control/restrict the fields shown there.

Thank you, Ankur!
That confirms what I suspected—there really isn’t a supported way to restrict those fields in the Condition Builder.
I appreciate your quick and clear response.
