Can you elaborate? Do you mean you want to track the time a group spends on the SLA (which, from an SLA point of view, shouldn't matter) or do you have SLA's (or OLA's) per group for certain flows? A request that has to be resolved by 3 groups and each group has a day, on an over-all SLA of 3 days?

If you just want to measure the assignment, metrics can be used. Your question leaves a lot of room for assumptions and unclarity.
