What is the value of App Engine Studio for dev accounts?

I am curious as to why App Engine Studio is the most prominent aspect of developer instances of ServiceNow when you cannot publish or leverage the apps that are generated?

Why would ServiceNow go out of the way to push this service, going as far as to make it the default page when you login to a developer instance, when the apps that are created cannot be utilized?

Hi @cdot65

The reason is AES is single stop shop for all work where from form to portal to workspace everything can be created at 1 place, agree we cant publish but we can build the app with low code.

So it famous and helpful for ppl like me, whoa are -1 or 0 in coding.

Hello-Developer Instances are not supposed to be utilized to create apps that can be published. The purpose of PDIs is to allow users to explore the capabilities of ServiceNow, test out code or solutions, explore the app building experience, learn, etc. They are not meant to be a part of a companies development pipeline, hence the restrictions. Using them as part of your business' development pipeline is actually considered a violation of Developer Program Agreement (as described here: PDI Guide)

So bringing AES to the forefront is meant to bring attention to the capabilities. Make it easier for individuals practicing or learning about building apps to access it.
