How to remove metadata/snapshots from scoped app

I have included data in a scoped app with the option 'Create application file' when selection data records for the application. After publishing the app in the repository and installing it on the target instance all is fine.

Now I want to NOT to include the data in the next install due to changes in the data on the target instance only.

Can I just delete the metadata/snapshots or move them to an update sets that will not be pushed over to the target instance.

In other words : is it same to remove data from the default update set of the app before publishing it to the repository and install it on the target instance?

Deletion results in missing application files under application (Not recommended).

Mark same data as below to load on new install so it does not affect the data changes during upgrade.

Hi Bala,

I end up with 2 metadata/snapshot records.

One with (directory) unload and a second one with directory) update. The second record is the original pushed data record.

Will it that create or update the record on install and on update of the application????

Thanks,

Ronald
