hi All

I have a requirement wherein we need to create a product model in Servicenow keeping the eTOM porduct configuration but i dont see any specific interceptor in the Servicenow product model to define this

Please can you help if someone have done this in the past for telecom products and services.

Hi Shubham... somebody made me aware of this thread. I was not aware of the community. My role in ServiceNow is that of Business Architect in Innovation focussing on Telco. I am very familiar with TM Forum, eTOM and SID... and FYI, ServiceNow has just become a member of TM Forum since the 21st of March.

As part of a focus on Telco we have considered the TM Forum SID model. As there are a lot of uses for the SID model, it is too broad to start of with, and a bit of a meta description to describe the many products, services and resources available in the many Telcos.

Therefore at the moment I like to look at individual use cases, and use the configurability of the platform to support those use cases. Optimally many of these individual use cases could lead to a complete model that is aligned to SID, but this requires coordination between 3rd party services providers like yourselves, our customers and ServiceNow. Reach out directly to niels.roskam@servicenow.com as I am interested to exchange thoughts. Kind regards, Niels

Hi Niels, I found this thread when searching for some kick-start on mapping the servicenow portfolio to TMForum Frameworx. Do you know, if ServiceNow has already created and published such kind of mapping to not only SID but also eTOM or TAM or has even undergone a TMForum certification process? Some vendors e.g. publish results on the TMForum website. Thanks for your support. Heinzgerd

Dear Henri,

Did you ever get a response or solution to your query?  Also, I am interested to know what you mean by "mapping the ServiceNow Portfolio to TMForum Frameworx".

Thanks and regards,

Andy

Hi Andy,

While ServiceNow develops Telecom-specific capabilities, it loosely follows and aligns with TM Forum's various standards with a focus on the ability to integrate and communicate with other vendor solutions in a typical Telecom ecosystem. Open APIs and some data models used in the exchange of data have been foundational when ServiceNow introduced its Telecom Order Management (OMT) and Network Inventory (TNI) capabilities onto its platform. Specifics can be found in the relevant documentation, or feel free to reach out directly for details.

There is also some content that provides a high-level mapping from ServiceNow's capabilities on top of TM Forum's eTOM, TAM, and ODA frameworks.

Find the following ServiceNow information on the TM Forum members page: https://www.tmforum.org/membership/current-members/member-profile/?id=0016000000feK30AAE#certificati...

Regards,

Niels
