Which product line should i go for in servicenow?

Hello Architects,
I had done BCA in 2024, and MCA in AI/ML & Data Science in 2026. Also, done a java full stack certification from a certified IT training school and also have deep understanding till Agentic AI. I already know ITSM properly, but don't know in which product line should i go, As per the current market scenarios?

There is a module in servicenow called as 'AiOps', is this good for me or should i go with some other module?
if yes, please provide me a detailed roadmap. So that, i can secure my position in that product line.

Atul: It is not mandatory, but having a basic understanding of these concepts will definitely help you learn ServiceNow more effectively and understand how different components work together.

Atul: Based on my experience running 19 CSA batches, the starting point is the same for everyone:

1. Certified System Administrator (CSA)

2. ServiceNow Micro-Certifications

3. Certified Application Developer (CAD) if you are interested in development

After that, you can choose a specialization based on your interests, such as:

• Developer

• Implementation Consultant

• Business Analyst (BA)

Atul: The best and most reliable source is ServiceNow's official learning platform. It should be your primary source of learning. My recommendation is to start with the official learning resources and then supplement your learning with community content and practical projects.

Atul: Certifications are important, but their value depends on how well you can demonstrate your knowledge during interviews and on projects. The market generally expects administrators to have a CSA certification. However, I recommend spending 6–8 months learning, practicing hands-on, and building confidence before attempting the certification.

One of my students started at around ₹5 LPA, but that was several years ago. My advice is to focus on gaining experience and getting your foot in the door. If necessary, be flexible with your initial salary expectations in exchange for valuable hands-on experience.

Atul: My recommended roadmap would be:

• Month 1–2: CSA preparation and platform fundamentals

• Month 2–3: Hands-on practice and personal projects

• Month 3–4: ITSM fundamentals and ServiceNow processes

• Month 4–5: Micro-certifications and advanced platform concepts

• Month 5–6: CAD (if pursuing development) and interview preparation

Hi @sharmapriya 

As you are from coding background, you can focus on Coding /scripting and opt for Developer Role, System Admin or any technical role.

If you are from coding background (any technology , specifically java script, java) , within very short span of  time , you will learn scripting .

If you are interested to Servicenow, I will suggest you to follow structured path.

1. First complete CSA

2. Then go through CAD with scripting.
