Connect Data Sources and Integrations

Data sources and integrations contribute to the knowledge that Armis has about a device. The data sources and integrations you connect are based on goals and needs—Which use case do you want to fulfill and connect the integration that supports that?

At minimum, you will need the following integration unless you are an integrations-only customer:

  • Network Mapper—Discovers devices that might not be as talkative and pulls all devices that the switches know about.
  • Refer to the following resources to learn more about Network Mapper:

Next, add your desired Integrations as discussed in the previous section.

Add Value Packs

Armis Value Packs (AVPs) are out-of-the-box dashboards, reports and policies that can be added to your Armis Console view with in seconds. Some AVPs require integrations, as noted.

Just go to the Armis Console and choose “Value Packs” from the left pane. Then choose from the filters to view the available AVPs.

As you choose from the filters, the available AVPs will populate on the right:

Click on the Value Pack on the right to see which dashboards, reports and/or policies are included, and which integrations are required. Then you can decide if you want to add this AVP to your console view.

AVPs are a great way to quickly add new use cases for Armis across many teams, including compliance, SOC, Network Security, and VM teams.
