Now available in the ServiceNow store here, the CMDB workspace update to 3.1 provides a new features called CMDB 360 for MultiSource CI reporting. Learn ore about CMDB 360 in this short video.
If you haven't heard of the CMDB MultSource feature, it can easily be enabled to help manage CI data coming from multiple sources that land in the same CI records to help create a reliable single source of truth. You can setup rules for what attributes and relationships you want to use from each source feeding the CMDB. Rules are used to determine how to make this decision such as choosing the most agreed upon value. This helps to create more reliable CI data that can be used by ServiceNow products that depend on it. To find our more about MultiSource refer to our documentation here.
Customers using one or more Service Graph connector and Discovery together can now better manage how data gets merged into a single source of truth in the CMDB. Values from one source may be more reliable than others. Being able to setup rules to automatically sort through those values in order to use those that are more trusted is possible with MultiSource.
The new CMDB 360 feature in the latest CMDB Workspace helps to analyze the underlying raw data values that each source provides over time. This is a useful tool in setting up and troubleshooting the MultSource rules. Over time, there may be unexpected results in the CI data, which may be caused by rules that are not set properly, overlooked when they are first setup. Another cause is when the source system providing that data over a Service Graph connector or IH-ETL integration has changed for some reason. With over 33 Service Graph connectors to choose from in the store, it's easier than ever to leverage the many existing data sources you. New Service Graph connectors and updates to existing ones are available each quarter. They are often used to enhance ITOM Discovery details, or may be used in stead of Discovery, though licensing may still apply.

This does not work as expected, unless I'm missing how this product works. The data is not showing the latest updated data within the 360 data record and the payload it received within it, even thou the record (CI) was updated. What was updated, was not what was passed within the payload.
