BigFix and DataFlow integration

Hi All

I have been working on Service Graph connector for HCL BigFix in ServiceNow. 

Need to know if anyone has information on 'BigFix ServiceNow Data Flow'. Have been able to get the difference between the SG connector and BigFix ServiceNow Data Flow. 

But need to know what different classes does both of these pull from the BigFix server(like computer,network etc). 

Please let me know if anyone has a solution.

Hello Harshi,

I’m currently working with both integrations, so here’s a quick breakdown.

BigFix DataFlow is an application that enables bi-directional data integration between BigFix Platform and ServiceNow. It is deployed on a server and requires configuring credentials on both platforms, as well as defining data mappings through an XML configuration file.

Regarding the differences you mentioned:

BigFix Service Graph Connector
This integration pushes data from BigFix Inventory into ServiceNow. It populates hardware and software information in their respective CMDB tables.
Requirements: BigFix Inventory and ServiceNow Discovery (due to the Service Graph component).

BigFix DataFlow Integration
This integration connects directly to the BigFix Platform. You can choose to populate the Computer (cannot change yet) table in ServiceNow with data coming from BigFix (any data coming from analysis), or push data from ServiceNow to BigFix (such as environment, assigned_to, etc.) and then use that information in BigFix for targeting content and actions. It also supports bi-directional integration, depending on your configuration.
Requirements: BigFix version 10 or later.

You can use both at same time if you want.
