Hi all,
We are using Blazent which aggregates data from various sources and creates CI in the CMDB.
Blazant has its own IRE feature where it reconciles CI from different sources.
We observed that Blazent is creating duplicate CIs compared to Qualys integration. It seems Qualys follows the IRE since we found the use of 'new SNC.IdentificationEngine()' in the transform map scripts but did not find the same in the Blazent transform maps.
Thanks,
Ravish

I can't see this in the ServiceNow store under a name of 'Blazent', did they provide you an update set? Sounds like you need to query this with the creators. Or have you custom built this integration?

sorry, I later came to know it was a custom integration and not a store app.

Let me add some clarity behind this, Blazent integration as a discovery source with ServiceNow can utilize a multitude of integrations such as:
- Table Api
- Batch Api
- Import Sets -> Transforms, etc
- Direct IRE Integration
It is the clients preference as to which particular integration is enabled and configured.
Our client, in the Development Instance, installed and ran the Qualys Integration without consideration of the existing integrations.
Obviously multiple integration engines / sources must be aligned upon the primary identifiers and discovery source rankings. This critical step was skipped, and duplicates can be created.
Hope this helps provide some clarity on this.
Best
