Question 1) When a Child CI is inserted and has a discovery source of "SCCM", and is linked to a parent CI, does the Parent CI also be populated as "SCCM"? or should it be left empty?
Question 2) Vice Versa.

Hi @Ash33
When a child CI, discovered by SCCM and linked to a parent CI, is inserted into the CMDB, the parent CI's discovery source should not be automatically populated as "SCCM". The discovery source field of the parent CI should be left empty or retain its existing value, depending on how the parent CI was originally discovered or created.
2. When a parent CI is inserted with a discovery source of "SCCM" and linked to a child CI, the child CI should generally not be populated with "SCCM". The discovery source of a CI typically indicates the tool or method that was used to initially discover and record information about that specific CI. Since the parent CI was discovered by SCCM, the child CI, which is likely related in some way to the parent, may not have been discovered by SCCM directly.
