- Is the CMDB staleness rule is configured OOB for all classes?
- Where can I modify the staleness duration because in ci class manager its non-editable.
- Can we set the staleness rule for principal classes only and how?
- We want to apply condition for staleness that work only for operational Cis?
- We want to remove staleness rule from business application and mapped application service class, how to achieve?

Hey,
Okay, so i am going to rapid-fire through your questions:
1) Yesn't. Staleness rules are not configured for all classes, but are inherited by child classes
2) If it is non editable, you will likely first need to create a new staleness rule (as the one you are looking at is likely inherited by the parent class).
3) Yes, but not in the staleness rule. You will need to specify a generic rule, then add an inclusion rule, which will target only principle classes (and exclude all other classes).
4) Yes, you can use inclusion rules for this. Add one where you filter in only operational CIs (btw. I generally recommend adding this for all health metrics, not just staleness to reduce unwanted noise).
5) Yes, you can use inclusion rules for this. Add one where you filter out BAs & Services.
Hope this solves everything.
Regards
Fabian
