I am learning Discovery Fundamentals on Demand training and part of that there is a task to create credentials but when I am trying to attempt that task with below provided details, credential is not testing successfully and I am getting Authentication Failed message. While similar SSH credentials is being tested successfully. Could anyone help me to please to understand why Windows credential is not testing successfully?

Windows Credential:

Type: Windows Credentials

Name: Windows Servers

User name: itomadmin

Password: Disco2learn4fun@1!

Save and then Test the credential against: 192.168.16.11

I am having the same problem.  It appears to be an authentication problem:  name and password are no longer valid or got corrupted.  Is there any way to verify and/or correct?

Hi @Alan Prochaska

Did you copy and paste the password, or did you manually type it in the password field? If you've tried both and it's still not working, please log a Now Learning case.

Hi @BhupendraSN ,

This may be due to copy paste problem. Try to type and see whether you are getting a successful message.

Hope you are also using correct port 135 for your test credential.

Also check the MID server capabilities whether you selected All application or not

Hi @BhupendraSN ,

Even I'm also facing this issue, this may be due to the credential got expired so please raise a case with ServiceNow
