Subject: Cloud Discovery Operational Status Issue
Hi Team,
I am currently working on the Cloud Discovery process and have encountered an issue regarding the operational status of Configuration Items (CIs). I would appreciate your input on this matter.
Here’s the scenario: when the discovery runs, the CI's operational status should accurately reflect the actual status of the CI. Please see the cases below:
1. If a CI is retired, it should be marked as retired in the CMDB.
2. If a CI is repurposed, the operational status field should be updated to "Operational."
3. If a CI is powered off, the operational status should be updated to "Non-Operational."
Thank you for your assistance!

Hi @Mallikarjuna R1 ,
The term Configuration Item (CI) is very generic and it's not that simple as all CI's are updated by the same rule sets. Cloud Discovery triggers a lot of different patterns and the behaviour can depend on different things depending on the type of CI and it's relationship to other CIs.
What kind of CI are you referring to?
Regards,
Niklas
