I am trying write a policy in CMDB data manager for Hardware.

The condition written is:

Since the condition is too big I am not getting any number in preview policy.

Should I retire policy or not. Is it a problem.

Thanks,

Anusha Namburi.

Hi @anushanamb ,

what’s the policy purpose ?if it is written then must be some purpose.

Now there is no data impact but once data come using discovery then might be .

The purpose is to retire hardware.

Hi @anushanamb ,

CMDB data manager policy automates the processing of CI lifecycle events, like

  • Archive
  • Delete
  • Retire
  • Attestation
  • Delete CMDB Related Entry

By implementing above you can standardized lifecycle policies for CIs, You can ensure to build healthy CMDB.

Each policy may involve a certain level of complexity in its filters. However, as time goes on, you might find the need for more focused policies that operate at a level closer to each individual CI.

Now, In my point of view you should not de-active, let it run.
