I want to generate a table overview of Business processes next to the dependent Application Components and verify the CIA classification on both CIs'

Hi,

You can approach this from the CSDM relationship model rather than creating a separate custom table/report first.

 

Start by validating the relationships between the Business Application >> Application Service >> Application Component / supporting CIs, and then use those relationships to identify the dependent components and their associated business context. Business Applications represent the business-level application, while Application Services represent the operational/deployed service.

 

For the CIA classification, verify the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability values on the relevant CIs and make sure the classification is being inherited/calculated according to your organization's CSDM/CMDB implementation.

If the requirement is specifically to produce a table showing Business Process + dependent Application Component + CIA classification, you can build the report/list based on the underlying relationship data rather than duplicating the data into custom fields.

 

Also, validate the exact relationship type being used in your instance before building the report, since the available relationships can vary depending on the CSDM version and how Application Services are modeled.
