I'm planning on building a MID Server on an EC2 instance, and wanted to get some opinions about any experience you may have that has shown a preferable, or better integration for a MID server. Either as a Linux (Ubuntu) host or a Windows Server host when it comes to running Discovery of all things AWS in an environment.
Any blurbs would be appreciated!
I'm personally functional in both Linux and Windows OS's. So I'm not really partial either way, (except for some partiality towards Linux (hehe)).
Thanks all!

Looks like you are correct Pratiksha! To my surprise running a Linux MID server shuts off the ability to Discover Windows servers. So as long as we have primarily Linux hosts running in our AWS ecosystem, a Linux Server would be fine. And for any Windows hosts (up in AWS) we would need to use our Windows MID server with an AWS Service Graph connector.

I'm also learning that (from the AWS perspective) it DOES matter what OS is used for the MID server, since adding a Windows Server in a EC2 instance is a lot more expensive than a Linux server (Ubuntu, or Amazon Linux). Depending on what class of course (t3.xlarge for example).
