Querying or Reporting on Dynamic CI Groups with no CMDB Group returns nothing

I'm trying to view the Dynamic CI Groups where the CMDB Group is empty but I get nothing.
If I do this on my PDI, it works. Both are on Utah but one has the Now Experience and the other doesn't.

I changed my PDI UI to UI16 and tried and it still works.

Have you tried checking the XML for the record(s) you expect to show up in the results? Make sure the cmdb_group field is empty (<cmdb_group/>).

It is empty in the xml also.

Hope you are doing great,
The UI experience should not make any difference on the record to be displayed in list. can you please once double check the records which you are able to see in other UI if cmdb_group field is empty or not .
Open the record which you are able to see and open the same record in other UI and check if cmdb group field is empty for the same record or not.
Please have a check on cmdb_group field for those 2 records.
