The Brazil release brings some interesting changes for CMDB teams. A few that caught my attention:
🔹 Dynamic IRE
Dynamic IRE is enabled by default on zBooted Brazil instances, while upgraded instances using Static IRE can move to Dynamic IRE. It introduces a more dynamic CI identification process and automatic updates to identification rules during ingestion.
🔹 CMDB Workspace consolidation
Service Graph Workspace is deprecated, with its capabilities being incorporated into CMDB Workspace.
🔹 Data Certification improvements
Certification tasks can now be reset, allowing the certification process to be restarted when required.
🔹 ServiceNow Otto for CMDB
The release also includes changes around ServiceNow Otto and Duplicate CI Remediator, making AI-assisted duplicate management another area worth watching for CMDB teams.
From a CMDB Manager perspective
Before or after upgrading, I would recommend validating:
✅ IRE and identification behavior
✅ Duplicate CI trends
✅ Discovery/integration results
✅ CMDB Health metrics
✅ Data Certification processes
✅ Roles and CMDB Workspace access
