Stale CI's in last 30 days`

Hi Everyone,
I need to find out reason behind undiscoverable CI's that are undiscovered from the last 30 days in my organization, and how Can I run discovery again on them . Is it related to agent based or agentless discovery . Can Someone guide me as I'm totally new to this field.

Just because CIs have not been refreshed in some time does not mean that they don't exist.  This could be a problem with Discovery.  Possible (likely) discovery issues are:

1. Network access:  The MID Server may not be able to access the devices because of some firewall rule or other network change.

2. Credential issues: Credentials may have been changed

3. Pattern issues: There could be a problem with a discovery pattern

4. IRE issues: the payload data may cause an issue with the Identification rules for the CIs

 

So, there needs to be investigation of the stale CIs especially if it is a bulk of CIs that are not being discovered.
