Requirement- Created one catalog item and in this approval is added to line manager...but the requirement is that approval should not trigger when the ritm is trigger through automation BR.
Can anyone let me know how can we restrict this?

how and from where the RITM is created via the BR?
How would you differentiate normal RITM(submitted from UI) vs RITM created via script?
1 solution is this
1) have a hidden variable on your catalog form and when user loads the catalog form populate this hidden variable with value as UI
2) then send approval only when this variable has value as UI
3) set this hidden variable when you create the RITM via script with Non-UI value
