If I have two Configuration Items (CIs) with the same name in the CMDB but from different classes, and I need to import relationships using a cmdb_rel_ci Excel file — how can I ensure the correct CI get the relationships assigned? I'm asking because I don't see parent.sys_id or child.sys_id fields available in the transform map.

No @Med99
You didn't get what I meant. I meant "parent" and "child" both are reference fields. So in the "excel" sheet - you don't need to pass their "names" - you pass their "sys_id". Because they are refernece fields it will work. I hope you understand what I meant now.
I know that sys_id field in the dropdown is for relationship because that is in relationship table so one field is for sys_id representing record.

Hello @Med99
There should also be serial number. As per identification rules, two CIs cannot have same name as well as same serial number unless they have modified the identification rule.
So you can instead go by serial number and CMDB ci name combo.
Or definitely you can create these fields.
These two solutions will work when with TM surely.

Okeh @Med99 Now I got your issue.
If that's the case, the parent field is originally a reference field and child field is also originally a reference field. So you don't need to pass names, directly pass "sys_id" . Problem solved !

In photo i've sent, syd_id references the relationship not the parent or the child
