I am trying to show the certification records associated with a service but I can't figure out which related lists needs to be used.
The old certification tasks would show with Certification Elements and Certification Tasks but not anymore with the new data certification under the CMDB Workspace. Which is the right related list to select?
I've found and added all of these and although I see attestation, I do not see one for certification.

I didn't see anything about related lists or related links in that link.

Hi @Robert Campbell ,
I could think of the below ways to view Certification Details Without a Related List, please check if any of the solution works for you 🙂
Add to the Application/Service Form:
- New Section/Tab: Create a new section or tab within the existing business application or service instance form. You can then display fields for the last certification date, type, and certifier directly in this new area.
- Customize the Form Layout: Modify the existing form to include the relevant certification fields as part of the main layout or in a dedicated, separate section.
Use a Dashboard:
- Create a Dashboard Widget: Design a dashboard that displays key information about business applications and service instances. A widget can be created to show the last certification date, type, and by whom, pulling this data directly from the system.
- Personalized Views: Users can create personalized dashboards or views that summarize this information, making it easy to access without navigating to a separate related list.
Customize the Application/Service Record View:
- Directly on the Record: Some systems allow for customization of the record view itself, enabling you to add specific fields (like certification details) directly onto the primary record display, making them visible at a glance.
- Leverage Platform Features: Depending on the platform, there might be pre-built or configurable features that allow you to embed certification information into the main record view without relying on a separate, often less immediate, related list.
If you found my response helpful, could you please mark it as ‘Accept as Solution’ and ‘Helpful’? This small action goes a long way in helping other community members find the right answers more easily and supports the community.

Adding to the form would be good but there will be multiple policies. We already have 4/5
- One to certify the data on the record is accurate.
- Certify the upstream B2Bs are accurate.
- Certify the downstream B2Bs are accurate.
- Certify the infrastructure is accurate.
- Security checks (which is the same as #4 but initiated by a different group and requires more evidence).
The last certification may not be what someone is looking for. Then they would have to search elsewhere for that information.
Knowing which dashboard to view and then leaving the page you're on to view data about the record you're already reviewing seems like extra work for all involved.
It was a "feature" that already existed on the previous version of the "module" and it was useful (at least to us). I've used it with multiple companies. And with ServiceNow telling everyone not to customize, it's hard to customize even after you've shown then a functional customization. It's better to have it OOTB so they say.
