I'm attempting to configure CI Attestation, and the Attesting CIs (documentation) says "use the CMDB Data Manager to create an Attestation policy" But when I follow that documentation, there is no option for an Attestation Policy Type (below).

Hi Joe,
The picture above does not display for me, so if I missed anything my apologies. Can you try the following steps?
- Log into your instance with the appropriate role to get to Configuration > CMDB Data Manager (such as data_manager_user)
- Open CMDB Data Manager via Application Navigator
- Under Policies, click "View Policies." This should open the CMDB Data Manger and Attributes [ci_lifecycle_policy] table
- Click New in the upper right corner
- Under policy type, can you select Attestation?

Thank you. It seems our instance was not on the latest patch of San Diego. Once patched, the option is available.

Hi Joe,
The Attestation policy type is only available if you're on the San Diego (or later) ServiceNow family release. It won't be available if your instance is on Rome or earlier releases.
Note that you should also upgrade to CMDB Workspace 2.2 in order to access the Attestation dashboard and work with Attestation tasks.

This is super frustrating when updates are needed to see certain functions shown in the documentation but the docs don't mention anything about needing to do the update. Or better yet, to just have the update installed automatically when certain other aspects of the application are activated.
Thank you for your response, as this made all the difference to me being able to do what I want vs. just being frustrated that I can't find things that are supposed to be there.
