Appropriate use for job postings?

Hi there, I'm new to this community. I was wondering if this is an appropriate forum for job postings? I don't want to offend anyone so I wanted to inquire prior to simply posting. If anyone has suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I know that as an independent developer working on contract, I'd love to see job postings in the User Groups - even if it's just a link out to the listing on the New Belgium site, or GlassDoor, or similar.
