A Simple Approach to Writing More Useful Community Posts

Good community content does not always need to be long or highly technical. In my experience, the most useful posts are focused on one specific problem and provide enough context for another person to understand the situation.

When asking a question, it helps to include the ServiceNow version, relevant configuration, the expected result, the actual result, and any error message. Screenshots can also make troubleshooting much easier when they do not contain sensitive information.

For answers, I try to put the practical solution first and then explain why it works. This makes the response easier to follow while still giving other community members enough information to apply the approach to a similar situation.

Clear titles, useful details, and genuine experience can turn an individual question or answer into a resource that helps many people later.
