Group Manager Unable to Add Users to Group – snc_required_script_writer_permission Role Error

Whenever the group manager tries to add a user to a group, they encounter the following error:

"Current user without the snc_required_script_writer_permission role is not allowed to grant roles or groups containing the snc_required_script_writer_permission role."

However, the same group manager is able to add other users to groups for which they are the manager without encountering any issues.

 

2.The group manager already has the snc_required_script_writer_permission role assigned; however, they still encounter the error while attempting to add users to the group. Kindly refer to the attached screenshot for details.

Logically it should works but its not working.

 

1. Do this -

  Remove snc_required_script_writer_permission role  from that group manager and add again.

 

Refer: KB2645354 The "system" user is not allowed to modify scripts because of missing snc_required_script_... 

 

2. Check the alternative:
