Hi All,
I have a question about the management of browser extensions:
So, the browser extensions are not discoverable in the instance, but they need to be stored in ServiceNow in order to build a process to request them. Should I create custom software products and software models so that they can be stored in ServiceNow?
If so, will this have any ramifications on SAM processes and compliance scores?
Thanks in advance!

We’ve tackled browser extension management by integrating it with our ServiceNow request and approval workflows. For Chrome and Edge, we use GPOs with allowlists and push approved extensions via Intune. ServiceNow tracks user requests, justification, and manager approval before deployment. It’s helped reduce shadow IT and keep audit trails clean, especially in regulated environments where extension sprawl is a real risk.
