changes to ServiceNow

Just shoot me now 🙂

Just for background, my company was purchased by a bigger company with no SNOW experience and last week they laid off the last SNOW admin we had (yeah, really) so I'm here asking questions. BTW I'm an accountant and have very little IT experience.

Along with a new look and feel for SNOW that I see, I noticed that I can no longer export to excel (right click column header and choose export to excel or CSV) nor can I sort a column of data by clicking on a column header.

Any help would be appreciated.

Got to love corporations and the big wigs!

Just to confirm your issue, it's when you're trying to export using the following function? Below example is from the list view of incident records.

You did mention a new look and feel, does it look closer to the below?

In terms of list view, your example is what I used to see. Now I see this:

The look and feel you show does look like what I see now. mainly the hyperlinks, however the hyperlinks have been there for weeks and I have not had issues before yesterday. For example, this is an old view:

and now:

Thanks for the clarification - you've potentially had an upgrade and now have the new "Polaris" UI experience which is a little different, but mostly visual.

From your first screenshot whereby right clicking opens the browser menu rather than ServiceNows - this will be because there is an error in your browser. Now this could be localised to just yourself (do your colleagues have the same issue?) or a bigger one.

To test within chrome, go to the list view where you're having the issue, and go to the developers tools by following the below screenshot

Once dev tools open, select the "console" tab and take a screenshot. There is likely something red

With devtools open, we're going to do a hard refresh - Ctrl + Right click on the refresh icon and select "empty cache and hard reload"

Hi Kieran,

I replied but not sure it went through. Let me know if you did not get my reply.
