yesterday
Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask about article creation permissions in the ServiceNow Community. Can any registered user create articles, or are there specific approval processes, or restrictions that determine who is allowed to publish content?
If there are requirements or moderation rules, could someone please clarify how it works?
Thanks!

Hi @YashwanthV18760 !!
Not all registered users can create articles in the ServiceNow Community. Regular members can ask questions and post answers, but article/blog publishing is typically limited to MVPs, Rising Stars, Thought Leaders, and ServiceNow employees. These permissions are granted based on contribution level and community recognition.
Mark this as Helpful if it clarifies the issue.
Accept the solution if this answers your question.

Hello @YashwanthV18760 ,
ServiceNow Community article creation is restricted. Only users with special awards/roles such as MVPs, Rising Stars, Thought Leaders, and ServiceNow employees are allowed to publish official Community articles. Regular users can still participate by asking questions, replying to posts, and sharing knowledge in discussions, but they cannot create new articles unless they are granted contributor privileges by the Community team..

Hi @YashwanthV18760,
Only certain users are able to create articles - this seems to be restricted to MVPs, Rising Stars, Thought Leaders, and ServiceNow Employees.

Hi @YashwanthV18760,
In the ServiceNow Community, not every newly registered user can immediately publish full articles. While anyone with an account can usually ask questions and participate in discussions, article publishing permissions often depend on your community rank and activity level.
As you contribute more—like answering questions, receiving likes, and earning badges—your permissions may expand. In some cases, articles can also go through moderation or review before being fully visible.
It’s always a good idea to stay active, follow the community guidelines, and build credibility—that usually unlocks more opportunities to contribute content.
If you find my answer useful, please mark it as Helpful and Correct. 😊
