Is there a way to generate fiscal periods for past dates in ServiceNow?

We're currently working on migrating historical project data from a previous project management tool into ServiceNow. As part of this process, we need to add cost plans for past periods and calculate planned capital expenditures for those projects. However, we’ve noticed that fiscal periods are not available for those past dates. Is there a way to generate fiscal periods for previous months/quarters/years in ServiceNow, so that we can associate those cost plans accordingly?
Has anyone dealt with a similar scenario during data migration? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Under 'Fiscal Calendar' there is a 'generate' link. There you can generate fiscal calendars that are not yet in your system.

Error: 'There was an error while generating the fiscal periods for the provided inputs'
OOB(Out of the Box) the system is not allowing the generation of historical fiscal periods.
