Knowledge - Approval Retire Notification does not send out

Hello Friends,

Do you know if there is an out-of-the-box email notification for Knowledge – Approval Retire?

We are currently running the Yokohama version.

Not that I can see in my demo instance.

Out of the box there is a notification called KM: Approve article for publishing that triggers based on an approval record being inserted/updated where it's State changes to Requested and where the Source Table is one of the knowledge article tables (see below screen shot) this would include the Retirement approvals  if it wasn't for it's Advanced Condition (highlighted) that will only fire the notification if the Knowledge Article state = draft and the system property glide.knowman.enable_approval_notification = true.

So the long and short is it won't fire for approvals for Knowledge Article Retirement.

Notifications are sent for publishing approvals, but not for retirement.

Yes that is correct.

If you wish for notifications to trigger for retirement, you can create a new notification mirroring the publishing approval notification I mentioned above, tweaking the conditions to target retirement approvals and updating the content of the notification as required.
