I have been looking through previous community articles on this subject but none of the solutions offered have allowed me to override this out of the box setting. In the service catalog when proceeding to checkout, I don't want the default value to be who is logged in. I want this field to be empty by default so the user has to choose who it's for and doesn't accidentally submit it for themselves if its on behalf of someone else.
I've tried cloning the catalog checkout and shopping cart widgets to make this adjustment, looked at the ui macro solution although I don't think this is in use anymore since the two step glide property is disabled, and tried client scripts but that isn't working either. Also cleared out the default value in the request and shopping cart table. Most likely i'm doing something wrong with these widget clones so any guidance would be helpful, thanks!
