Service Interruption: This instance is unavailable.

Hi ServiceNow Team,

I’m having trouble with my instance—it’s currently unavailable. There’s no “currently under maintenance” message showing.

I checked the Developer Site and selected “Manage Instance,” but I didn’t see any information about maintenance.

Could you let me know if there’s an issue with my instance or if it’s just maintenance? Also, any idea on when it might be back up and running?

Thanks for your help!

Best,
Shubham Khaire

Hi @shubhamk9636354

My PDI is offline. When will it be online?

PDIs go offline for maintenance. Your PDI will be online again once the maintenance is complete or the issue is fixed. If possible, we will provide a time frame for the work to be completed. Occasionally, we cannot recover PDIs.

If your PDI doesn't recover within a day, you should release the PDI and request a new PDI.

I really don't know! As currently, I'm also facing same issue. I hope we'll get out of it 👍

Hi @shubhamk9636354 Refer below link, Which is related to PDI FAQs

https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/guides/washingtondc/now-platform/faq/pdi_faq

ServiceNow occasionally needs to perform maintenance on the underlying infrastructure associated with PDIs. Maintenance includes updating and patching software, firmware, and replacing hardware. During maintenance, your PDI may not be accessible. The length of time required for maintenance depends on the type of maintenance. If available, the My Instance page indicates the expected completion time for planned maintenance. Your work and data on your PDI is unaffected by planned maintenance.

Hi @shubhamk9636354 ,

As you might know, there is no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs, hence you're limited to two options:

  1. Wait, it should come online after some time
  2. if you get tired of waiting, release the instance and request a fresh installation.  NOTICE, if you do this, every development that you haven't backed up will be lost for good.
