ServiceNow Career

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some career guidance from the ServiceNow community.

I have been working in a ServiceNow Service Catalog support role for the past four years. Now, I want to transition into a more technical role. Since I haven't had the right guidance, I've remained in a support position, and I'm finding it difficult to decide which career path to choose.

Currently, I’m pursuing the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification. However, I’m confused about whether I should aim for a ServiceNow Administrator role or a ServiceNow Tester role.

I would really appreciate your suggestions on:

  • Which role offers better long-term career growth?
  • Which path is the best way to enter the technical side of ServiceNow?
  • What skills should I focus on to make a successful transition?

If anyone has made a similar career move or has experience in either role, I would be grateful if you could share your insights.

Thank you in advance for your advice and support!

I echo along with most, ServiceNow Administrator will be more valuable as it pertains to the more technical side of ServiceNow and is more broad and versatile imho.
