How to Level Up

By doing various activities on the Community you ascend the rank ladder.  For our new members browse the site and learn all its offerings to level up.  As your journey progresses past the Expert Level only actions that show your technical expertise will be counted toward reaching the next levels.

Patron Sage Guru Expert Contributor Explorer

At each level there are prefixes that further indicate the members achievements.  This is done by using data storage prefixes.  Something we think you all can identify with and needs no explanation for context 😊

Rising Star/MVP status is not directly related to the Community ranking system.

Rising Stars and MVPs are selected through a nomination and selection process:

Hi!

I think if NowLearning wants the community rank system to increase engagement, they need to redesign it a bit. As it is now, you can only see your achieved ranks, but the ranks are meaningless without context.

In order to make use of the The Zeigarnik Effect (Uncompleted tasks stick in your mind more than completed ones) and our desire to complete collections, you could display the levels that can be reached, or at least how many levels remain, or how many points until next level. As it is, there is no real motivation to work towards the next one.
