The ServiceNow Community is more vibrant, diverse, and knowledgeable than it has ever been before. Building upon this remarkable journey, we are delighted to introduce an exciting change: the launch of the new ServiceNow MVP Community Program!
That’s right! Two of our top contributor programs* have now become one, creating a unified initiative to recognize the many innovative ways that our top contributors are adding to the wealth of knowledge within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
The revamped ServiceNow MVP is an elite recognition that is open to all ServiceNow top contributors from all professional backgrounds, encompassing a spectrum of expertise, passions, and forms of creativity!
This means that you, along with the vast community of over 500,000 members across the globe, hold a real opportunity to one day be recognized as a ServiceNow Most Valued Professional.
What has changed? Here are the highlights:
- The MVP program now extends its welcome to individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a deep passion for ServiceNow. Gone are the days of aligning exclusively with specific personas in order to become a top contributor within the ServiceNow Community. Now, irrespective of your background, if you feel you make transformative contributions to the ServiceNow Community, you are eligible for the program.
- MVPs will enjoy unparalleled recognition within the ServiceNow Community. They will also be, provided with a portal platform to showcase their expertise and insights. Additionally, MVPs also benefit from unique networking opportunities, to connecting with like-minded professionals. It's a prestigious and rewarding journey that extends beyond recognition, empowering MVPs to make a lasting impact in the ServiceNow ecosystem.
What can I do? Here's how you can get involved:
We invite you to check out the new MVP page for any and all information related to the newly re-imagined program. If you are interested in becoming a ServiceNow Most Valued Professional, return there on December 1st to apply for our next round of entries.
Tell me more! This is our background:
Community MVP Dinner in 2017: Dan Bruhn, Lisa Latour, Lawrence Eng, Tim Albright, MVPs, and others.
ServiceNow’s Most Valued Professionals have a special history. While titles and names of the program have changed over time, the core purpose of recognizing top contributors – A.K.A. experts – has remained unchanged. These individuals have always gone above and beyond to help educate, empower, and support others throughout their ServiceNow journeys.
In 2015, the first cohort of ServiceNow Community MVPs were introduced: a group of 10 individuals
who were identified by Dan Bruhn for their product expertise and ranking on the ServiceNow Community leaderboard within our dedicated online platform.
Five years later, in 2020, as the role of developers grew within the ServiceNow ecosystem, it became clear that there was a need to show some recognition in this area of expertise. In response, Andrew Barnes, along with fellow ServiceNow Developer advocates, identified 14 individuals as
the inaugural class of Developer MVPs, a distinct group from the Community MVPs instituted years before.
During the height of the pandemic, we observed a surge in MVP engagement, highlighting the need for an inclusive and diverse approach within the MVP space. This period marked a significant turning point, with Earl Duque leading the Developer Community MVPs and Sarah Garey spearheading the Community MVPs. This era also saw the MVP program welcome its first female top contributors, emphasizing the programs commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Community MVP Meetup in 2023
Now, in late 2023, we have built this new unified program together with the last cohorts of both programs to continue to expand and diversify what it truly means to be an MVP. As we approach 2024, it has become increasingly important for us to acknowledge that top expertise exists outside of the online community and beyond developers or any one specific practice. Combining the Developer MVP and Community MVP programs to create one elite group of ServiceNow MVPs is huge but achievable. This relaunch is the start to exciting times ahead!

We could not have done this without the exceptional commitment of the 41 MVPs who dedicated their time, expertise, and invaluable feedback, fostering a "build together" approach within this new program. A special thank you to:

Any specific reason to merge it to One Program?
I guess this will reduce the number of MVP awarded per year and also may increase the difficulty level for anyone to be awarded as MVP.
Also is there any criteria defined yet to know who is it evaluation and selection process happens? What all contributions are considered and with what weightage?

It's awesome, all elite programs always encourage to learn, excel and share with community. There are a lot of opportunity to introduce more levels in this MVP , like first VP then MVP.

@Celina Zamora Looks like there are some bugs in the nomination portal, for example when I click 'Your MVP Profile', I get the below error.
If I click the link here to report bug, it just takes me back to the homepage.
Some improvements can be made to add mvp logo on top left.
And the footer.

I agree with @SanjivMeher. Here is one more bug/that needs to be updated thing in the new portal, content is the same for both topics. @ServiceNow for your info.
As we have one more day to go, fixing these bugs will improve the response.
